project: student work interaction module
An adaptive and interactive gallery that dynamically displays design work of students who are within the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) library space. Upon entering the library space, students are identified via unique RFID tags embedded within their student card, a database is queried, and their work is displayed on the SWIM interface. SWIM offers a means to exhibit digital student work outside the classroom, encourages gallery and social interaction, and instils notions of legacy within the SIAT community.
SWIM is the result of a semester long project for Object Interaction Design. The project was successfully prototyped using existing technologies and was presented to numerous SIAT faculty. SWIM was developed with Chad Isley, Jack Sam, Nathan Charley, and Professor Jim Budd.
