project: futuretown
A "blue sky" idea developed with Abe Han over several weeks for Interaction & Reception at Simon Fraser University.
Problem Definition: The needs and wants of society are changing at an unprecedented rate. Products are being projected into a hypothetical future in isolation. This form of prototype testing does not adequately address how the product fits into the complex system of unpredictable future, and cannot benefit from any associated feedback.
Solution: Integrate product prototypes into a common testing ground -- futuretown -- a site to test system enhancements on a manageable scale without resistance to change from historical baggage.
